The Last Free Soul is the story of the Goddess Kuan Yin and Qin Shi Huangdi, and a legendary Chinese couple who lived and died during the construction of Qin's Great Wall. The couple is reincarnated twenty-two hundred years later during Mao Zedong's Cultural Revolution as Feng Xiao and Wu Jiang, two young gay men who are faced with torture and death until they discover a secret cave, created by the goddess, that allows them to escape.
