     Scot Walker has won awards in various contests including L. Ron Hubbard; Flannery O’Connor; Thomas Wolfe; New Century Writer Ray Bradbury Fellowship; Kernodle New Play; McLaren Comedy Play Writing; along with both a Stage Play and Short Story award from Writer's Digest. Scot is a lifetime member of the Dramatists Guild, and his plays have been performed throughout the USA and Europe. His favorite publication was of his poem: Ancient Gods, which has been published on 3 continents. Altogether, he has over 300 published short stories, essays, non-fiction pieces, poems and novellas along with about 100 published and or produced plays.
     One of his friends was Harry Hay, the gay rights founder. Scot has been involved in the movement since the 1960s and used to bump into Tennessee Williams from time to time when he was hitting the gay bars in Washington DC. Several of his plays have themes including The Lesbian and the Flying Pig, which opened in Washington DC about 15 years ago.
