What does it cost me to read stories?
    The site is absolutely free. There are no hidden cost, so enjoy! All costs of the domain and hosting are absorbed by Jevic, the site owner. He is also responsible for the site design and all content.

What kind of stories are available?
    All of our stories have a gay theme. There is everything from short stories and million word epics to romance and coming-of-age to action adventure and drama and even more including high school, college, camping, military and so much more. There's car chases, cowboys and Indians, high seas adventures, hurricanes, snow storms, boy soldiers, aliens, battles, joy, sadness, time travel and more. We even have Harry Potter and Draco Malfoy butt fucking on Snape's desk!

What authors can I find on Tarheel Writer?
    Rick Beck is our Author in Residence. Rick has been writing for decades and offers stories spanning a wide variety of genres including high school, historical, Native Americans, cowboys and more. Rich has his own dedicated page on the site.
    Jevic, the site owner, has written mostly action adventure stories and some that are just pure smut.
    Chris James was born in 1949 and passed away in 2019. He was a profilic author. There are 57 stories with 426 chapters and 2,565,776 total words of Chris James at his best. He entire collective of work is here at The Tarheel Writer.
    Cole Parker is another prolific author. All of his stories reside at Awesomedude.org. He has 169 stories with 762 chapters and 3,458,467 total words.
    From a FanFiction stand point, you'll find story recommendations by Lomonaaeren who has written literally hundreds of stories. You'll also find authors that have disappeared from the Internet like Dean Lidster, Mystwriter and Taylor Quest.     There are more authors that call Tarheel Writer home including RJ Santos, The Whitewater Kid and Ube Licker. I also have stories by authors that have disappeared from the Internet including SF Writer (StormFront) and The Eggman.

Do you have any stories that are no longer available online?
    Yes, you'll find those stories listed along with the ones that are available. There is a download link provided for those stories no longer available. If you are looking for a particular story and can not find it anywhere, including here on The Tarheel Writer, contact us and we'll see if we can find it.

How many stories are available?
    There are over a thousand stories to choose from from every genre and they are all free to read.

With so many stories to choose from, how do I decide what to read?
    First, all stories and categorized by genre. Novel length and short story General Fiction, Special Stories based a true life and Christmas stories. Then there's General FanFiction, Harry Potter FanFiction and of course, Harry Draco FanFiction both in novel and short story length. You'll also find Harry Potter Next Generation stories featuring the original Harry Potter characters' children. You'll also find G. Norman Lippert's fantastic James Potter Series. These stories are not LGBTQ stories but wonderful reads endorsed by JK Rowling herself (bitch that she is for her stance on Trans folks).
    Second, you will find that each story is rated so you'll know what you're getting into. You will find the total number of chapters and total words for each story. On top of that, you will be a brief plot synopsis for each story. I've also included when and where the story was first published. You will also find a link to the author's main page on whatever site the story is located. You will also, most often than not, see a representative picture of the story.

Do you have FanFiction stories?
    Yes, we have tons of FanFiction stories. Harry Potter tops the list with a whole category dedicated to the number one ship, Harry Potter and Draco Malfoy also known as Drarry. In the category alone, there are over 450 stories to choose from. There's even a story by Jevic, The Tarheel Writer titled The Magic Behind the Magic. There are other Harry Potter FanFiction stories as well included stories about the next generation. There is a whole series of stories by G. Norman Lippert about James Potter, Harry's son.
    There are some wonderful stories centered around Hanson by Dean Lidster and Taylor Quest. Both of there authors have written a whole series of stories around Taylor Hanson.

How easy is it to find something to read?
    Each story is categorized (General Fiction, FanFiction, Novel Length, Short Story, etc) and has a description and plot synopsis. You will find each story is rated as well, so you know what you are getting in to. The number of chapters and total words are listed so you know how long each story is. So choosing is easy.

Do you have short stories?
    Yes, we have short stories. We also have novel length stories and 100,000 plus epic reads.

Do you rate your stories for content?
    Each story has a rating and if it is Not Rated, it is indicated as such. The rated stories get a "G" for Everyone, "T" for Teen and Up Audiences, "M" for Mature readers and "E" for Explicit Content.

What kind of information do you provide on each story?
    You will find that each story is rated so you'll know what you're getting into. You will find the total number of chapters and total words for each story. Are all your stories here on the site?
    A lot of stories are here on the site, but even more are on other sites. Each story will tell you where it can be found and you will find a link directly to the story.

Besides stories, what else if available?
    There is a page dedicated to Links and Resources. You'll find extensive lists for Youth Resources, Gay Health (including the how to's of gay sex) and Gay News sources. There's a page dedicated to Homosexuality and Christantiy. You'll find pages describing what LGBTQ+ means and a page about Gay History.
    Also on the links page you'll find a page dedicated the the memory of those that are gone but not forgotten. There's a page about Gay Porn Stars and what happened to them and where they are now. There are pages dedicated to cool pictures, cool websites and astrology.

How and why did you start this website?
    This site was started in 2003 when Jevic finished his first novel, The Watchers. Thanks to Davin for setting the site up with registration and hosting. We have been online continuously since then.
    The site was first started because Jevic wanted his own presence on the internet. The first novel was first published chapter by chapter on Nifty.org. That site has literally thousands and thousands of stories and Jevic felt he wanted a more prominent presence for his works and the works of his friends.
