There is always something to comment about and nothing is off the table. Sometimes, I just gotta get up on my little soapbox and pour my heart out. It is always interesting to look back at what I've written in the past. Feel free to comment.

It's two years ago today that my friend Bob Dunlap passed away from cancer. He was a drummer. I was the sound man for the first band he played in. We played a gig at the high school he granduated from. Aftr the show, he came up to me and told me that when the show first started, he thought I had screwed up, when in actuality, it was the high school kids screaming their approval. It was an awesome gig. I miss Bob.

Season Three of "Heartstopper" premiers today. I'm so excited to see Nick and Charlie (Kit Connor and Joe Locke) again and follow along with all the drama of their relationship.

Today is the first day of the Charlotte Film Festival. I'm on the fence about going and I really should. I was on the committe that started the film festival in my hometown. I was in charge of the technical side of the festival. We would screen several films at a time in multiple venues around downtown. My job was to "package" the screenings. I put together one movie file the "theater" operator would play off a borrowed laptop from the school system. That file contained the films but it contained "bumper" as well. The festival logo and a thank you for attending screen would come up between films. Taking the opportunity to pat myself on the back, I thought to looked very professional.

It's off to Vegas baby! Five nights at the Palazzo at the Venetian right on the strip. A Cirque du Soleil Show is in my near future. Jeff and I plan to see "O" at the Bellagio. Gonna be a great trip!

It's been a year since Ronnie died. He and his twin brother were my best friends in high school. I made the mistake of falling in love with his brother, Donnie. I came out to him on day and that did not go well. I haven't seen either one since.

Word reach us today Comicality died today after a long struggle with liver failure. Comicality, Comsie, Comet, Com ... what ever nick name you knew him by, he was a household name to an entire community of survivors. He was larger than life, outgoing, friendly, a great friend, always helpful and an extremely talented author. Comsie was everywhere with eBooks (available on Amazon), he e-zine Imagine, ShackOutBack, his forums and more. He is missed by his many fans but his stories live on. His "Gone from Daylight" Series is legend. I have dedicated a page to Comsie here on Tarheel Writer.
