Here's a category of stories ... complete in one chapter. There's loads of them out there and I'll be culling through them and putting my best recommendations right here. Got some yourself? "Diatribe" by Holloway H High School 1 Chapter Completed 26 March 2005 The headlines of the local paper spread the unbelievable news that Timmy killed himself, 17 years old, 7 months away from graduation. (This story deals with suicide, but that's not the REAL story) Timmy had excellent grades, good attendance, he was friendly and according to many people that knew him, he was the every day high school boy. But Timmy's story isn't unique, it isn't the exception, Timmy's story is the rule when you are young and gay and male in the public school system where religion still dominates the thought process and the prejudices of school employees; principal, dean, teachers, etc., encourage children with similar thought patterns to act in ways that harm or kill other students. In this case it is not that the teacher, the minister, the police did not see what was happening but rather that they did not care what was happening. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "Forever December" by Dabeagle Life 1 Chapter Completed - No idea Rollie lost his son to a tragic accident. His son, Lex, had been 15. Now, 10 years later, on the 10th Anniversary of Lex's death, Rollie get's a Christmas present. Keep the tissues handy. Really good, heartfelt story. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Let's just say they're AOL Instant Messenger Screen Names. Now, take two gay guys who don't know the other one is gay, mix in one straight girl who's determined to get them together and you've got a hell of a good story. In fact, ready ANY story by Grasshopper and you will be pleased. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "Trevor" by RimPig High School Completed 26 May 2004 We've all met "Trevor" before. Captain of the high school football team, a body to die for complete with Hollywood looks and a stream of broken hearts in his wake. Cory had known Trevor since middle school, but had never been the object of Trevor's advances. Yes, Trevor went after whatever sex he was interested in at the time and caught no grief over it. So now Cory finds himself in the "headlights" but knows how Trevor works. He's not about to have anything to do with him. But, maybe there's more to Trevor than meets the eye. Yeah, you're gay and in love with your best friend, who happens to be straight. Read along as Grasshopper weaves his tale. OMG, this guy can write a story! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "The Ugly Duckling" by N Fourbois High School Completed 19 February 2004 The is a fun story about a young boy named Luke who has very little self-esteem. He has horrible hair, acne, skinny arms and legs, a foreskin problem and no friends in school. Then he has an operation to fix his foreskin problem and meets Tony.
