MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT
"The Nineteenth Year" has been C0MPLETED! Yes, you read right, I've finished the story that has been in progress since 2003!
This story was most difficult to write as the history behind the main character was true. "Daniel" shared those painful memories with me and I weaved them into this story. At times it is difficult to read, but at the end, you will find that a truly remarkable man lived through a horrific experience and made a life for himself ... a life filled with everything we all desire ... including true love. I'm celebrating the end to the story with a glass of single malt Scotch, but ... is it truly the end? Alas, no it is not. For the future is an unwritten page and those that persevere through adversity will receive their just reward.

A complete revamping of the file and folder organization of the Tarheel Writer Website has taken place. If you notice any links that don't work, please let me know. I'm sure I missed something, somewhere.
After much consideration, I have decided to share a story that was written just for me. Chris James has penned a story called "A Captain's Dream," which is fantastic! I was so good, that I just couldn't keep it for myself and, with Chris' permission, I have decided to shar eit with you. Check it out, along with Chris' newest story "Angles in the Choir" that had me weeping beyond control. It's wonderful and chapters continue to be posted regularly.
I must admit that I have been exchanging email fast and furious with "The White Water Kid." He has written a story about ... jeez, I don't even know where to start ... see my Bricks and Musings comment about him. Suffice it to say, yer gonna be beggin' for the next chapter of his story ... and it's coming very, very soon.
